Is DICE free?
Yes. Random video chat, private room links and shared PINs are all free, with no account and no downloads.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no registration, no email and no profile. Open the site, confirm you are over 18, pick your filters and roll.
How does matching work?
You say what you are and who you'd like to meet. DICE only pairs two people when both preferences agree, then connects your browsers directly for the call.
Why can't it find anyone?
Either nobody matching your filters is online at that moment, or your filters are very narrow. Widen your 'looking to play with' selection and keep the page open — DICE keeps searching until it finds someone.
My camera or microphone isn't working. What do I do?
Your browser needs camera and microphone permission for the site. Check the permissions icon in the address bar, close any other app using the camera, then reload the page. On iPhone, use Safari and make sure Camera is allowed in Settings.
The video won't connect but chat works. Why?
That usually means a strict mobile network or firewall is blocking the direct video path. DICE falls back to relay servers automatically; if it persists, try Wi-Fi instead of mobile data.
What is a private link?
A one-off room URL you can send to someone. Anyone who opens it joins that room only — no random strangers get matched into it.
What is a PIN?
A shared code for a closed group. Everyone who enters the same PIN before rolling is only matched with other people using that PIN.
Are chats recorded?
No. Calls are not recorded and text messages are not stored — they disappear when the session ends. We keep anonymous usage counts only.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. DICE is for adults aged 18 and over, and you must confirm this before every roll.
How do I leave a chat?
Skip to roll for someone new, or press the end button to stop the session and release your camera.
Does DICE work on phones?
Yes. It runs in mobile browsers, with front and rear camera switching plus mic and speaker mute.
