DICE is for adults. You confirm you are over 18 before every roll. If you believe you are talking to a minor, end the chat immediately and report it.

Never share personal details

• No full name, home address, workplace or school.
• No phone number, email or financial details.
• Move to another app only when you genuinely trust the person.
• Keep ID documents, bank cards and post with your address out of frame.

Check your background

Your camera shows more than your face. Look at what's behind you before you roll: street views through a window, house numbers, parcels, notes on a wall and family photos all give away more than you think.

Common scams to recognise

• Sextortion: someone encourages nudity, records it and demands money. Never pay — end the chat, block, keep evidence and report it to your local police.
• Investment or crypto pitches: a friendly chat that turns into a "guaranteed return" opportunity.
• Link bait: "verify here", "add me on this site" or a shortened URL. Don't click links from strangers.
• Looping video: a pre-recorded clip pretending to be live. Ask them to wave or say a word — a recording won't respond.

Use the controls

Turn your camera off before you roll if you want to see who you get first. Mute your mic or speaker any time. Skip instantly when something feels off — you never owe a stranger an explanation. Ending the chat releases your camera and microphone.

Consent goes both ways

Don't record, screenshot or share anyone without their agreement. Don't broadcast content that is illegal, hateful, violent or involves anyone who hasn't consented. Behaviour like that gets you removed.

If something goes wrong

Skip or end the chat first, then tell us on the report page. Include the rough time and what happened. If you are in danger or someone is being exploited, contact your local emergency services.
